Less than a week left until I move to London. It still hasn't sunk in. I keep going through photos of my last visit to London (a day trip entirely devoted to flat viewings) and still can't grasp that that is actually where I will be living. I have so much packing to do, but i have no idea where to start. After I go vote in the norwegian elections today, packing will be on the agenda.

Ventimiglia
Every friday during the summer, there's this big market in the italian town of Ventimiglia. On our last day in France we decided to travel the short one and a half hour trip to Ventimiglia by train and go check it out (after being told we just had to by good friends). Sadly I didn't get too see much of the city, but the market was a lot of fun, and there were hidden treasures all around, in the form of pastas and cashmere scarves for the most part. After having spent ages checking out/ rummaging and splurging our way through all the stalls we sat down at a tiny restaurant right on the bustling street and ordered us some lunch before running to the train station (slightly stressfully buying some real italian gelato on the way) back to Cannes.

The Big One
So. I have done something quite radical. Something insane. Something that hasn't sunk in:
After about a year trying to get a hold of a certain bag, it is finally mine.
It's been sold out everywhere for over a year, probably because they are due to raise the price soon (again). I came to Cannes for a holiday with two friends, and yesterday, on one of our last days here, I made an impromptu little call to the Chanel store expecting them to tell me they didn't have the bag in stock.., yet to my surprise, utter joy, and my wallet's dismay, they did.
An hour later I was in the store, had my hands on the bag and was served champagne by the staff to celebrate my first Chanel bag purchase.
I then wore my beautiful new asset to dinner, before tucking it safely in and switching to a less precious bag for clubbing. (Baby steps).
I woke up this morning thinking I had dreamt it all (my hangover might have played a part in that) and sat down to admire it. I may sound like the worlds most materialistic stereotypical girl, but I am over the moon! I have wanted the bag for as long as I can remember, and finally, it is mine.
So to curious eyes, here's my new Chanel Classic Flap bag in black caviar, with gold hardware.

France
Earlier this year two of my good friends and I decided a repeat of last summer's holiday was necessary (two weeks in Cannes). We had a lot of people visit us, and everyone basically lived on top of eachother. When they had left the place was a mess and we were tired of being in such close proximity to people (ie the beach). So, today, the first day on our own, we treated ourselves to a day at a beach club, and it was amazing. For lunch I ordered a Chèvre salad with truffle honey, and let me tell you, it pretty much made my week. (the photo doesn't do it justice)
